IP address in sendmail

Hello.

CentOS 5.2 + Plesk

We have a few IP addresses, for a few sites. When we use sendmail, it is the "server main IP address" that is used, and displayed in the email of the recipient.

How to do so it is the domain IP address that is used, and not the server main IP address?

Thank you!

Hello,

Don't think is possible using qmail, but you can change the main server IP address for sending email using iptables.

Hi,

We send mail from Perl using

$mailprog = "|/usr/sbin/sendmail -t";

So it is sendmail, not qmail :)

Using IPtables, how to do?..

When you have Plesk installed on a server, sendmail is removed (if it is installed) and qmail is installed.

There is, however, a wrapper that looks like sendmail which applications, such as php and perl and for that matter anything else, use. This basically passes the message to qmail but interfaces with the program or script as though it is sendmail.

Thank you for this explanation.

But so how is it possible to make the mail sent by the same IP than the one used by a domain?
