Issue ip=[]. Warning: Failed to parse return-path header

Seen this before and didn't look into it, but it seems to be appearing more often now. Is this normal, or if not, what should I do? The blank IP concerns me most. Typical line looks like this:

dovecot: service=lda, user=(redacted), ip=[]. Warning: Failed to parse return-path header

This issue was tied in with a wider postfix issue that has now been fixed. Thanks.
