Resolved Issues with Grafana / Advanced monitoring

Hi, when installing the Grafana extension I get the following error:

Could not install Grafana
Failed

• The execution of post-install.php has failed with the following message:
• [2019-10-04 06:00:10.971] ERR [extension/grafana] Execution repository has failed with exit code 1, stdout: , stderr: ERROR:root:<urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:590)>

After closing the error message I can in fact see the extension. But when I open it and click Open Application it opens mydomain/8443/modules/grafana/service/ and gives SERVER 403 forbidden.

Furthermore opening the Advanced Monitoring tab in Plesk shows: Could not check if Advanced Monitoring was installed correctly: Execution extension has failed with exit code 1, stdout: , stderr: /opt/psa/admin/sbin/modules//grafana/grafana-cli: line 2: /usr/sbin/grafana-cli: No such file or directory

The Fix Installation button cannot repair it.

I've also tried
plesk repair
plesk installer --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --upgrade-installed-components

No joy :-( Any suggestions? thanks, Pim

Do you have any firewall enabled? Do you have access to ext.plesk.com from this server?

Yes, the normal Plesk firewall with default rules. I disabled it for now and can reach ext.plesk.com but still the same errors

By the way, I found that an upgraded package was available.. but that also doesnt work

Something wrong with packages apt system for your Ubuntu. Try to fix it with

# apt-get update
# apt-get install -f

The issue looks very strange. Detailed investigation directly on your server is required. Therefore I'd suggest you contact Plesk Support Team.

Sorry, one more question, can I just upgrade from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 by using 'do-release-upgrade' without breaking Plesk?

Currently, Ubuntu does not support dist-upgrade from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04 and neither does Plesk.

I ask because I'm on 16.04 and was wondering if that is why that issue occurs.

Would like to confirm that re-installing the dedicated server with 18.04 instead of 16.04 solved the issue for me.

I am having the same issue, Ubuntu 16.04. Have a support ticket in and waiting on a response. Will post here once I get it.

I do not have the time to do a migrate to Ubuntu 18.04, although I do plan to in the near future...
