I migrated a CentOS 11.0.9 Update #62, to CentOS Plesk 12. Following this article http://kb.odin.com/en/5406 I can move the key over and they new system sees it but sees it as a plesk 11.0.9 license therefore none of the new features work such as fail2ban, mod_security and the mail spam features. How do I go about migrating this key properly and having my plesk 12 features.

Would I have had to upgrade the old system first and then move the key over?

1. Existing Monthly Lease license is supported in Plesk 12.
2. Existing Purchased license should have active SUS, then the license version will be upgraded automatically during Plesk upgrade to v12.
3. If you want new Edition-based Plesk 12 license, you need to terminated the old one and buy new (there is no conversion from old licenses to new Edition-based licenses).

I called in to support and they generated a new key for me and every thing is now working properly on the new server.
