  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

The log you're looking for is at /var/log/plesk/panel.log.

I'm not sure what could be causing this issue, though. Do you have ModSecurity enabled on the server?

no, its disabled:
Web application firewall mode: Off

In Logfiles:

Domain validation failed for www.XYZ.com: Failed to retrieve authorization for 'www.XYZ.com'

Do the domains in question have a document root directory with appropriate permissions so that these domains can be accessed from the Internet?

This is an issue we have on latest Plesk Obsidian when the Web Application Firewall (WAF) is enabled. I think Plesk Corp. should extend its test cases and deliver a micro update (or let WAF ruleset updates deliver) as soon as possible.
Turning WAF off is a temporary workaround, but can be done only by admin users.
