Issue Limit access to admin login for hosted domains

Drimbrull

New Pleskian
Hello,

I am not sure if I have a problem with how sites are setup, or just a lack of knowledge. I am using plesk 12.5

Currently, if a hosted domain uses either port 8443 or 8880 after their domain name (example https://dzinedirect.com:8443) - they get to the admin login screen for plesk, but I only want access to this to be available from my chosen domain (dedicated.impressiveit.co.uk:8443).

Is there a way to restrict access to the admin interface. I am happy going through SSH and working on the server files if required.

Now, I am on a dynamic IP with no hope of acquiring a fixed IP - so cannot use either the firewall or 'restrict access' in the admin panel as these rely on using an IP address which will lock me out if mine changes.

I hope that all makes sense!?

Thanks in advance!

sure i just tested to visit your link is accessible, bizar empty the cache & cookie on your browser.

or you're maybe take blocked with your own ip and not yet add white list (juste awaitting). not worries if is only short days, change again if your ip 'll changed.

Hi Drimbrull,

there is a nice Plesk extension called => "Custom Plesk Host 1.0" <= which you are able to install over the Plesk Extension catalogue. Original description:

This extension allows you to set a hostname that will be used for redirecting from http://domain.tld:8443/ to https://your_hostname:8443/

This might not solve the issue with your dynamic IP and the missing restrictions, but it will make sure, that traffic to port 8443 will be redirected to your desired FQDN. ;)
