Limitation to extract more files - where to setup?

Hey,
i need help to find the right configuration and where i can setup this.

We are using Plesk Panel 10.2 on Debian Linux machine.

Installing a large component (PhocaGallery) on Joomla shows us an error. Files aren't extracted.

I read the following thread at phoca forum:

then it seems like your server has a limitation in that it can only extract or create archives with less files than your OS's file handle limit. Phoca Gallery is large component which includes more files than your server is able to unpack (due to the limitation)

Where can i solve this problem?
