• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

location of backup files

I'm trying to find where the backup files that are created using the domain scheduled backup function end up. Since I don't have the option to FTP the backups off the server when they are made I want to run a task to collect them from the server instead but I haven't a clue where the backed up files live.

I would assume there is a config setting somewhere I can change to point the backup fils to a directory of my choosing but again I have no idea where that would be.

Does anybody have an idea where either the backup files end up or where I can set the destination path for the files to suit what I want.

You can see which directory plesk uses to store back up files and to change this directory in the following file:

/etc/psa/psa.conf
