hey there im using 7.5.3 and mail enable pro
has anyone else noticed that the mail enable logs are deleted everynight? leaving just the current days logs.
im talking about SMTP logging

I think plesks statistics might be the cause of it, as iv spoken to mail enable their software has no functions to delete logs.

Iv tried using filemon to monitor access to the files, but it doesnt report anything it doesnt even report mail enable accessing the files to update the logs :(
maybe that could be because the files are locked by Mail enable?

Still doesnt explain why they disapear.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any input
Cheers

It's quite strange because statistics.exe can't delete smtp logs. In any case we haven't seen this before. If this happens with ME Pro version we need to get complete info about this so you can create ticket to Plesk supp. with supp request and link to this forum thread.

log rotation where?

why is plesk messing with ME server logs anyway?

We have the same problem....

its definitively related to statistics.exe

another odd thing is raw log manager is realted to statistics.exe too. people who want daily logs do not get them until statistics are run :s

These things seem not to be bugs, but plesk errors by design :S
