• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

Issue Mail forwarding loop error when importing with Gmail

Maarten_

New Pleskian
Hi,

I have a email address created in Plesk ([email protected]) with no forwarders on it.
And I use GMail to import the emails from the plesk server using POP3.

All emails com in come in correctly. However, I also receive an error message for every mail that comes in with:
Code:
This is the mail system at host pleskserver.tld

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

                   The mail system

<[email protected]>: mail forwarding loop for [email protected]

I am sure that the Gmail POP3-import is the only action there is been taken. I can not see any loops here.
Any advice?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Maarten,

pls. consider to resolve your issue with the help of the following KB - article:

If you still experience further issues as described, pls. keep in mind, that it is essential to provide corresponding log - entries from your mail - logs, so that people willing to help you have something to start with their investigations, together with you.

In addition, it is recommended to provide informations as the output of the command:
Code:
plesk version
... when you open a thread here at the forum and often enough, configuration files help as well to investigate issues/errors/problems with your mail - server.

Sometimes, it is as well a good idea to change the log - level ( TEMPORARILY! ), to get more informations in Plesk - log - files:
