• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mail Problem

I am unable to send out any email. I get an error: "the connection to the server was interrupted". I am able to receive email just fine, but can not send at all. Any suggestions on what I can do?

I'm assuming you've already checked the log files for errors and have attempted restarting your mail server?

Try telnet from you computer to see if you can send from there.

Email works fine via webmail, I am able to send to any address...

possible solutions

make sure 2 profiles are not checking the mail account at the same time.

make sure your email program authenticates on send.

Both problems have caused me to get the same error.

I have tried sending on my other computer with a completely different email address on the same server, and I still get the error.

I have cleared the mail queue which had 830 messages that had not been processed and I have restarted the server. What is strange is that I can send email just fine through webmail, but cannot do so through Outlook on two separate computers... Any suggestions?
