• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Mail refuses all logins, despite correct passwords

Wondering if anyone else has had the following problem (using MailEnable Standard 1.983 with SpamAssassin 3.2.3).

Access to mail server (via horde webmail or a mail client like Outlook) rejects all logins despite correct username/password. The reason, it states, is due to an incorrect password. However, after restarting the mail server, everything runs fine. Using my own email I've been able to re-create the bug. I've found that it seems to occur when Outlook crashes (which is all too often) while downloading new messages. Its like something goes awry on the mail server when Outlook bugs out.

This worries me a bit, since any of my clients who also use Outlook could potentially down the mail server if theirs crashes like mine has. Has anyone else had any problems similar to this?

Oh, and the mail server will continue to accept incoming mail. It just won't let you get to it. So once the server's restarted, all messages will download...guess that's a plus...
