Mail to external mail service delivered locally

Lupker

New Pleskian
Hi,

I am getting a little bit frustrated about Plesk delivering email locally to a not existing mailbox instead of sending it to an external party. First I was using a local mailbox, but my client wanted to control the email using their own server. So I've changed the MX records to this new server. Deleted the inbox in Plesk and turned off Mail support for this domain.

New situation:

DNS server for domain.com is hosted on a different location and points to my Plesk server for the website and the MX records point to the clients server for the mail.

Email send from email addresses like gmail are send correctly to the clients server. Email addresses from my PLesk server and forms from the website are send locally. Resulting in:

550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.7.17)

Problem is like this article: http://kb.odin.com/en/116927
But i am using qmail and not postfix.

Any help?

Thanks!

Gr,
Mark

What is your Plesk version? As far as I see this issue has been fixed in Plesk 11.5.30 MU#13 - http://kb.odin.com/en/116874

[-] (Linux only) Qmail did not accept email messages sent to mailing lists on domain aliases. The following error occurred: "550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.7.17)". (107619)

Thanks for your help.

The latest: 11.5.30 Update #47

Activate mail service on domain is disabled. So I just don't get it. Maybe it's a subscription with multiple domains?

As a workaround: I've added another (no existing emailaddress in Plesk) to Forward to address
Thre-created the emailaddress without an inbox. Turned on switch on mail forwarding and added the same external emailaddress.
All email send from my website form / Plesk is now forwarded.
