mail_Facade->turnOffDomain() failed

i keep getting this error while opening new subdomain

Error: mail_Facade->turnOffDomain() failed: mailmng failed: APIObject.RenameDomain failed for oldname=abc.xyz.com [abc.xyz.com] and newname=abc.xyz.com.d [abc.xyz.com.d]

please advise how to get rid off it..

Looks like there is some error in mail configuration of some domains. It may be database inconsistency. I suggest you contact Support Team for fixing it directly on your server.
Also you can try to remove these domains and recreate them back if it is not so critical.

this happens only and only while adding a new subdomain to a domain.

creating a new subscription or creating a new domain does not give this error and creates them smoothly...
