    hi there
    - i installed suse 10.0 and plesk 8.01

after the installation i het these:

Please remember to run 'SuSEconfig --module mailman' to configure mailman

i do that and i get:

    db:/source/plesk/8.1/PSA_8.0.1 # SuSEconfig --module mailman
Starting SuSEconfig, the SuSE Configuration Tool...
    Running module mailman only
Reading /etc/sysconfig and updating the system...
    Executing /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.mailman...
WARNING: Postfix seems not to be installed, but /etc/sysconfig/mailman
    has MAILMAN_MTA="Postfix". Fix this!

ATTENTION: You have modified /usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py. Leaving it untouched...
You can find my version in /usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py.SuSEconfig...

ATTENTION: You have modified /etc/mailman/mailman.mail-gid. Leaving it untouched...
You can find my version in /etc/mailman/mailman.mail-gid.SuSEconfig...

    Finished.
    ------

    - why postfix? its qmail installed on the box...
    - at the moment its not possible to create any mailinglists. i get this error:

Unable to create list: listmng failed: listmng: Error: cannot create new list: is Mailman configured properly?.

    has anyone a tip?

    zeki

One of my customers is running Debian 3.1 and has the same problem while creating a list. It would be great if someone knows the solutions for this problem.

I've the same problem on Suse 10.1-64 / Plesk 8.1.
None of the solutions in the KB works.

    As the error suggests ,

WARNING: Postfix seems not to be installed, but /etc/sysconfig/mailman
    has MAILMAN_MTA="Postfix". Fix this!

    nano /etc/sysconfig/mailman

search for postfix or MAILMAN_MTA and change from postfix to Manual

    Restart mailman service from /etc/init.d/

Try to add a new mailing list from plesk should work fine.. :)
