• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

One of our Plesk servers is having major problems with slowness and seems to be sending out emails which we cannot track. Also, the system logs are full of;

Jan 25 18:22:39 passion authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jan 25 18:22:43 passion last message repeated 16 times
Jan 25 18:23:27 passion authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jan 25 18:23:37 passion last message repeated 2 times
Jan 25 18:23:39 passion authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jan 25 18:23:43 passion last message repeated 16 times
Jan 25 18:23:44 passion authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jan 25 18:24:03 passion authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

Help! Is this a problem? I have firewalled IMAP ports on both the machine and at our connection, yet still I see these problems.

I think those message are when people are connecting to get or check thier emails .. if you had firewalled it then you just blocked them getting thier emails from the server ..

I would check it out by getting email from the server and look at the log and see if it displaying your ip ..

Whoever checking email 16 times in several seconds must have 16 email boxes one the server and is checking it all at once every 1 minutes from what it look like from your log ...

Again I am not sure and it could mean something else ..
