Question MariaDB 11.8 "Upgrade Now"-Button

Azurel

Silver Pleskian
Server operating system version
AlmaLinux 8.10
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.74#3
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.74 added "Added support for MariaDB version 11.8.".

However I don't see this option with button "Upgrade Now" in Tools -> Database servers. I only see version 11.4 as option. I use currently version 10.11.15.

Can someone explain to me why this option is not available for me to select?

No doubt others using AlamaLinux (which will be far more relevant) will reply shortly, especially about you maybe needing to upgrade to version 11.4.* initially... but FWIW -> We only run MariaDB upgrades via CLI (never via Plesk GUI) and there were no issues at all (for us) when upgrading MariaDB from version 11.4.* to version 11.8.* nearly 4 weeks ago now. You might want to run a search on here. Seem to remember other AlamaLinux user may have posted on this topic.

Hi, there. Upgrades through the UI tool are not yet supported. Our team is already working on introducing the ability to upgrade through the MariaDB tool, but I cannot provide an exact ETA right now. I will follow-up with more details as soon as possible.
