  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

max execution time for installing Magento with the one click installer (18000)

Thomas Becker

Basic Pleskian
Hello,
when installing Magento with the Plesk one click installer there is a message saying that the max execution time has to be set to 18000 seconds (5 hours). Its not possible to install Magento without doing that. Magento does not always need that high execution time. In shared hosting its not the best idea to set max execution time that high because this could easily kill the whole server.

Is there a way to ignore this limit when installing Magento with the one click installer?
If not please remove this check because customers are not able to install Magento.

Thanks.

18000 seconds is default for Magento, if you don't want it, just set it in Plesk-PHP manually 5h for installation process and after this change it for less. I would leave it how it is....

Hello,
I’m talking about shared hosting. The customers are not able to edit the max_execution_time and this will not be changed. Customers want to install Magento with the one click installer (tab "applications") but it fails and there is no possibility to proceed. This check should be optional so that customers can still proceed.

Please forward to developers.

Thanks.
Thomas
