• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Mcrypt with 7.2

CobraArbok

Regular Pleskian
I installed php versions 7.0.x, 7.1.x, 7.2.x.
php -v reports version 7.0.

With php 7.2 I have to install applications that use mcrypt, deprecated with version 7.1 and 7.2.
If I install php-mycrypt I see it appear among the modules of version 7.0, but not in the others.

How can I install it for 7.1 and 7.2?
Thanks in advance.

@Min
In the first page, with sudo apt-get -y install php7.2-dev the message is Unable to locate package php7.2-dev

In the second page, the command pecl7.2-sp is not found.

@IgorG
I'm in Ubuntu 16.04
With sudo apt install plesk-php72-mcrypt is unable to locate package
With sudo apt install plesk-php71-mcrypt is already the newest version and I see mcrypt in php settings, but only in php 7.1 version, not in 7.2 where I need.

Try instal all necessary packages like make, gcc, libmcrypt, plesk-php72-devel, and then compile module with

# /opt/plesk/php/7.2/bin/pecl install channel://pecl.php.net/mcrypt-1.0.1
