  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

hi there,

i am planning a migration from an old plesk 9.5.4 server to a newer server hardware using the same plesk version, both servers are going to be live to help migration.

Total server is taking 55GB

how long is it estimated to backup the server to a remote server sitting on the same network and restore it back to a working state? using the "backup manager" either cli or gui.

is it advisable to backup restore the whole server? or is it better to backup and restore small chunks? e.g 5-10 clients at a time? i have total 110 clients with 170 domains on my server!.

any advise will be much appreciated.

thanks

P.S. what does configuration only do? will it backup/restore all clients, domains, emails, email aliases and databases with thier usernames and passwords? just without any data? it would be very interesting if it is so!
