migrate from 7.1.6 to 8.2

i have an old server that needs to be "retired" that is running plesk 7.1.6 can anyone give me some help on how to move my users to a new machine running 8.2? is there any roadblocks that are going to hamper this seeing the major differences in the underlying software versions (mysql)?

I believe the Plesk Migration Manager should work just fine.

will that affect the users on the 8.2* machine? it wont overwrite will it?

No, it will just copy the domains to your new server.
