Migrate from windows server 2003 with plesk 8.6

Hi there,

I want to buy an new server with plesk 11.5 on ubuntu 12.04.
But i was wondering if i could migrate from my old server (windows server 2003 with plesk 8.6)?

Sorry, but migration between different platforms is not supported.

The only way is to move files over FTP and move mails over IMAP. Sites and mailboxes have to be re-created and re-configured manually.

I have used PPA to create new dumps from Windows Plesk.
Then import those dumps on Plesk 11 Linux (after changing version number and resigning backup).

It's a real hack job, so totally unsupported.
Can't recall if mails were imported aswell, probably not since Plesk 11 Linux expects mbox format.

Not that hard to dump all mail passwords from db on Windows and then recreate all mailbox on Plesk 11 Linux.
After that, imapsync or pop2imap all mail accounts.

What is PPA and is there any documantation on that?

I have a script thats reads the xml from all the domains these contains all the information from the domain emails etc.
