Migrate password protected directorys by hand from plesk 10

bob231

Basic Pleskian
For some reason plesk 11 doesnt migrate the password protected directorys from plesk 10.
Does someone know how to do this by hand? Ive one customer who made over 3000 logins.
Where can I find them? Ive still access to the old plesk 10 server.

Many thanks by forward.

It should migrate them. Maybe there's an issue with 3000 different logins though. Have you tried migrating the customer's account individually as opposed to along with all the others?

Is there no error shown in the migration logs?

I can't help feeling the sheer number may be the cause of the issue, but it could equally be a database inconsistancy or error.
There are some tools for checking these things. .....

Have a look here to start: http://kb.parallels.com/en/113586

There's also this: http://kb.parallels.com/115103 (it says it is for Plesk 11 but I kind of think it works on 10? I'm not sure).

This is helpful to check database for certain types of error: http://kb.parallels.com/6693

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked the log, but nothing is displayed about this trouble.
Ive the same problem on different systems with different domains i migrate. In plesk I can see all the Protected directory users, but there login fail.
If i click on a user I see there is no password set. This is the same for domains with 100+ users and also domain with only plesk-stat protected.

I think the problem is that a password for a password-protected-folder in plesk 11 should be 5 or more characters.
While the passwords from plesk 9 of 10 have been set on 3 or some 4 characters. This is i think the reason, it a little sad that plesk 11 not import the old passwords.
Ive read the most articles advised here, but ive not seen a solution for this.

I m very thankful for all suggestions to solve this problem.
