Migrated Users - Cant change password

Recent upgrade from 9 to 10, and subsequent upgrade to 10.0.1 we are finding that when you attempt to change the password on a user that came from v9 we receive the following;

The e-mail address [email protected]ing already belongs to another user.

Following the same steps on a user created after the upgrade does not have this problem.

Anyone else able to replicate it? We have only upgraded a single server to date.
