• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Any ideas about migrating from Plesk 7.5.4 on Red Hat 9 to Plesk 8 ? Would it be best to do a full backup and restore on Plesk 8 on a new OS ?

Ideal scenario for your upgrade.

1. Get a new server and install Centos 4.3 on it.

2. Install Plesk 8 on this server.

3. Get a temporary Plesk key from Sw-Soft

4. Use the migration manager on the new built server to migrate all of your clients to this server.

5. Point your DNS to the new server.

6. If all looks good you can scrap the old server and switch your old IPs to the new server as you had them before.
