hello,
ive gotten far enough in a 7.5.3 to 7.5.3 simple migration of a few domains via the migration tool to see a page that lists ALL of the ip's on the old server and asks the admin to match them with ALL of the ip's on the new server.
we're trying to migrate step by step and to more than one machine but we don't want to mess anything up with the first migration. there doesnt seem to be any logical reason why plesk would need to know all of this right at this moment, but i could be wrong. at the moment, the old machine has about 20 ips and the new one only has one, so this is stopping my progress. the manual in this area is as bare and simplistic as can be and makes no implications as to the necessity of this step, and how complete it has to be done.
can anyone tell me what is happening here, and what will happen if i match all the source ips to the one dest ip we actually have right now?
