Migration tool problem

Hi all,
I'm trying to migrate a few domains from a 7.5.4 server and I get as far as logging in but when I get the list of 'objects' or domains, they all have the red x beside them and the checkbox is disabled so I can't select them for a dump. Has anyone encountered this before? I couldn't find any existing threads on this. btw, I have two similarly setup servers and they are behaving the same in this regard.

Plesk patches up-to-date for the OS version
