We are taking over a server that is running Linux Plesk we have a new server built out in Windows Plesk. These two servers are in two different datacenters can the migration utility still be used to move the domains from the linux to the Windoes Server? If so how?

Thanks

looking the same

Hi,

I am looking the same that you are, but the problem is that I am not the owner of the source server, I have the admin password in plesk but not the root one.

Regards

The migration utility worked well. You will need the root password of the server. I also had better luck only moving 4-5 sites at a time instead of trying all of the at one time.

Thanks

only way

ok, thanks for your reply.

The only way to pass from a Linux server to a Windows server is to use the Migration utility?

I have tried the backup domain in Linux and restore domain in Windows but does not work. (cannot find central directory Error)

Best Regards

I am unsure. That was the easiest way for me to do it. I guess you could always FTP the files down then setup the accounts on the new box and then FTP them to that one. The nice thing about the migration utility is that it moves over all the settings for you.
