MSDE Clean installation

How to install MSDE ?
and make it work stand alone, beside plesk ?
and what is the web based controler i can use ?

I am tired of trying to install it alone....
any help

Before you install plesk, download and extract the MSDE distribution.

Go to the directory you extracted to and run the following command:

setup.exe SECURITYMODE=SQL DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=1 SAPWD=apassword

If you actually want to use MSDE take out the "DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=1" switch. We don't so I disable it from listening on the network.

I have no idea, we don't use MSDE as our customers would quickly hit the 25 connection limit. We use MySQL instead.
