• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Multiple PHP Versions in Panel on Linux

With PHP 5.4 still set on the site, run a phpinfo() page and there will be a large section on what was used previously for ./configure. For the most part, you can almost copy-paste that into the new ./config, except with some changes (e.g. 5.3 had --with-fastcgi instead of --with-cgi as in 5.4). You will also likely have to end up taking a lot of time installing all the development dependencies if you wish to use that, but, if your server doesn't hate you, you can also hopefully get away with minimal options (do NOT forget mysqlnd if those scripts use mysqli or PDO and use the functions that require it); just include the features you know you'll need (DO NOT FORGET --prefix=/path/to/customphp/ AS MENTIONED IN THE DOCS!!!) and that will hopefully be enough (sorry if this makes anyone cringe).

Alternatively, you can also use PHP-Panda! if the server was RPM-based (just sharing for future reference, moreorless).
