  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question MySQL 8 Support for Plesk

WebHostingAce

Silver Pleskian
Hi,

I'm looking for any update about MySQL 8 Support for Plesk.

Currently I'm running MySQL 8 in a Docker and have added this as a Database Server in the Plesk.

I'm using mysql_native_password in my.cnf and everything(Backup. Restore, phpMyAdmin) seems to be working fine EXCEPT for updating a MySQL user via Plesk interface.

eg - Updating user password.

"Connection to the database server failed: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'PASSWORD('Vxbv6?32')' at line 1 "

MySQL 8.0 is not yet supported by Plesk. Support for MySQL 8.0 is planned however, the exact date is not set yet.
