• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

MySQL database prefix is always "admin_"

Hi,

First post on the forum. Hello everyone.

I've got Plesk 9 up and running. I have a problem with creating MySQL databases. Whenever I try to create a database for a domain account, it forces me to have the prefix "admin_" rather than the name of the domain account?

How do I configure Plesk so that it allows me to create DB's for my domain accounts with the correct prefix?

Is this because they are domain accounts and not client accounts?

Thanks
Ben

Hello benr77,

First of all check 'Database hosting preferences' regarding allowed prefixes.
Also you can check 'misc' table in psa database for 'force_db_prefix' parameter.
I hope it will help.
