Mysql tmpdir is Read Only variable error

Hello,

i want to move mysql tmpdir to /ramdisk but when i am setting it, mysql errors: tmpdir is read only variable.

How can i fix it?

Not sure how it is related to Plesk but make sure that /ramdisk is mounted as not read-only.
Have you tried setup it with

mysql> set global tmpdir = '/ramdisk';

Any output?

yes, i've tried it.

set global tmpdir = '/ramdisk';
ERROR 1238 (HY000): Variable 'tmpdir' is a read only variable

/ramdisk is not read only. it have 777 permission.
