Hi,
I started with a fresh 1&1 Image, performed all upgrades using Plesk updater and migrated customer accounts from Plesk 7.5.4 server to new Plesk server using Plesk Migration Manager.
After having to change all references to /home/httpd/vhosts to /var/www/vhosts in all websites I have got most things working again except for FTP.
When set to Passive mode FTP users can log in OK, list files and delete files. They cannot upload or change files. Permissions seem OK.
I'm not sure what to check next.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Crossnet, Thanks for replying and for the trouble to translate into English.

Well I just upgraded to Plesk 8.1.1 (I MUST be a suckr for punishment). It seemed to go OK, everything working as it was before (i.e. still no FTP).

Then I tried crossnet's fix to try and get FTP working.

Now my SMTP server isn't working either (sigh).

Have tried starting it using /etc/init.d/qmail start via SSH and I get an [ OK ] signal but it still shows up in Plesk as not working and in fact is not functioning.

I'm off to bed now. Will look again tomorrow.

Well guess what. I couldn't sleep. But half an hour nap has done some good.

I just tried the fix shown here:-
http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42615
...and this time it worked.

AND as a bonus I now have FTP working!

Thanks crossnet.

The only thing I have a problem with now is DNS(bind) showing up in Plesk Service Management page as not functioning (although it does seem to be working ok).
