Notifications: Client Account Expiration Warning

Hi All,

I'm new to Plesk and very happy with it. I noticed under Server/ Notifications an auto mailing for "Client Account Expiration Warning". Does this mean my clients will get this notification? Is this annual or do I have to set the parameters? and is there anything I need to do to set this up, or is it already working?

Thanks for any help,
Dave

when you create a client or a domain account you can set an expiration date, it's useful if you're giving your client a test account.

enabling this option will allow plesk to send your client a notification about the expiration of the account

if you didn't set any client/domain with expiration date you don't have to worry about this

I definitely want clients to get notified, but as I create an account in Plesk 8 I see no place to "set an expiration date". where would that be?

hey rustyrobot, I guess I was wrong and now I'm confused. I thought that we could set an expiration date for a client using the control panel, but I can't find that option also. well, at least for domains I am sure that you can do it when creating a new one

if you use the XML-RPC interface to add clients, you can set the expiration date, but I can't find the option on the contol panel.

you can refer to the plesk api-rpc documentation to find out about it:

take a look at the limits section

see ya
