  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

only www.[domain] works, not http-only

Hello there,

I'm having an issue on my VPS with Parallels Plesk Panel:

I've got my domains hosted somewhere remotely (also DNS zone).

I've changed the:
A www.domain.nl
A @

to the right IPs, added a new subscription for the domain.nl, checked "no dns", and everything works fine. The site is loading, however it does NOT work on http://domain.nl, only on www.domain.nl.

http://domain.nl shows the default plesk page.

In the past I remember there was a setting where you could click www [x] to enable www, however http-only isn't working anymore.

I have root access to the VPS, but I'm not very well known with linux - well enough to read some logs though...

Anyone has any idea?

Note: I've added a subdomain before (test.domain.nl) and this one DOES work properly without the www prefix.

Regards,

Las3r

What is current DNS zone records for this domain?

Why you use @ instead of domain.com for corresponding A record?

These are predefined DNS records that I can't modify, these were setup by default and i can only change the ip addresses, and add subdomains (which I did, as you can see).

@ works in this case, as http://holland-label.nl will show you the Parallels plesk default page

Aparrently I had put the wrong ip-address in the DNS zone editor. I've put the shared IP whilst this is ran on the dedicated IP .

I feel like a noob!

Thanks for the effort Igor!

Erik
