Open Base Dir (safe mode) problem

Hi,
I have safe mode turned off in my conf file for a certain site...
I have a script that gets CPU information and displays it. The script works fine on httpdocs, but gives me open base dir errors in httpsdocs. In the conf file, I have the same config for both http and https, what could be the problem?
