Optimizing for Bandwidth on Apache and Nginx

We'd like to use this tool from Google on our Plesk server:

Has anyone had any luck getting these tools going on their server, and are they worth it?

As far as actual value goes, the PageSpeed module may either fit the bill perfectly (needs some tweaking depending on your specific application or CMS) but the installation is relatively simple https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/module/download and in our tests we never saw complications with Plesk 11.5 or 12 on CentOS.
