Resolved Outgoing mail control incorrect count of send attempts

Plesk 12.5.30 on CentOS 7.2 64-Bit

Outgoing mail control is logging almost exactly 2800 mail send attempts per hour, but the subscription is not sending mail or much less. The number "2800" started out as "100", a few days later 300, then 500, 800 and so on. It seems that the statistics of outgoing mail control are miscalculated for that subscription as the number increases by a few hundred every other day (or so), then remains at the same level for a few days, then rises again.

Tried several things to figure this one out, but nothing seems to help. Toggle outgoing mail control, change the limits, disable mailboxes, disable subscription domains, run mchck / repair mail, run statistics, check and disable internal redirects of mails, add and remove Spam and Antivirus filters - nothing has changed the situation.

Case solved, but don't know what exactly solved it. After endless attempts to get this value down to the correct value by all kinds of installs/deinstalls operations is back to normal.
