Panel certificate lost on update #48

M_N

Basic Pleskian
I had uploaded a certificate for use with the plesk panel, it has been in place and working for some time.

Today (after the upgrade to update #48) the panel certificate has changed to the 'Default Certificate'.

What is the correct procedure to select an existing domain ssl certificate for use with the panel?

Under Tools & Settings -> SSL Certificates it only shows 'Default Certificate', non of my domain certificates show up there? are they supposed to? or do I have to go to the domain and export the certificate nd add it to this list (wouldn't that somehow create a duplicate of the same certificate within the windows certificate store?)

Thank you

Our developers have tried to reproduce this issue. They have installed custom certificate and performed update with latest microupdate. Certificate remained the same and they said that reported problem cannot be reproduced.
Therefore I can only recommend to create a request to support team to do in-depth investigation to find the reason and to fix it. Please create a ticket to support at https://www.odin.com/support/request/ .
You may have free support, please check what kind of Plesk license you use for available support options at http://kb.odin.com/en/121580 .
If there’s no free support in your case, you can order Plesk per-incident support at http://www.odin.com/support/buy-support/ Support team will contact you as soon as purchase is processed, and they will do the best to resolve it.
If it is found that your problem was caused by product bug w/o available solution or workaround from Parallels, then your purchase will be re-funded.

Thank for your the response, i can ignore the issue that it disappeared, that is over and done with. (I can't figure out if we have support or not, we have a panel which is preinstalled on a 1and1 dedicated server, does that have support?)

I really want to know what is the expected method of assigning an existing certificate on a domain to the main plesk panel? can you please explain? TY

What I did worked but seems rather clumsy. I went to the domain with the existing certificate, clicked the download button which downloaded a PEM file with the entire certificate. I then went back to the Tools & Settings -> SSL Certificates page, clicked 'add' and manually copied each section from the PEM file into the appropriate text box for the private key, certificate and CA certificate. While this worked it seems crazy to have to do that to get an existing certificate which works just fine on my domain to be used by the plesk panel, there's got to be a better way.

TY
