I am not a linux guru, but I'm having trouble with performance on one of my domains. This is what I've tried - someone can help me with next steps?! Problem is accessing the site from a browser. It takes a long time to connect and often times out.
- FTP is ok
- SSH is ok
- Not Javascript related
So I shell into the server and check top. See some activity with rsync but it's not related.
- Restart httpd no effect
- Restart dns no effect
Traceroute from a remote location resolves quickly
Ping is fine
LS seems a little slow, not sure if that would be related. Any suggestions on boosting performance of PHP? Any other suggestions on things to try? Any help would be appreciated!
