  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

TITLE

[PES extension] Clam still active and running after disabling and removing PES

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

CentOS 7.8.2003 (Core), Plesk 18.0.27 Update #1, PES 1.0.5-184

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

ClamAV gets installed with the PES extension (which IMHO is a great feature). However when disabling and removing the PES extension (using the Plesk UI) ClamAV remains running as a process and is not removed. Which is unfortunate as ClamAV hogs up quite some resources.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Simply Install the PES extension and remove it after installations trough the Plesk GUI.

ACTUAL RESULT

After installation ClamAV is still running on the system.

EXPECTED RESULT

ClamAV should be removed as well (oir perhaps at least have an option to remove clamAV when removing the PES extension ).
