Question Php 8 in Plesk but php 7 directory

KZM

Basic Pleskian
Hi there!

In Plesk I can enable both PHP 7x and PHP 8 which is also what I offer to my clients. /opt/plesk
However when I logon to my server /etc/php states only PHP 7.
Now I'm a bit confused. :(

There are two PHPs on the Plesk server:

- OS vendor's PHP, which is installed as a system package and located in /usr/bin/php with config files in /etc/php/...
- Plesk PHP versions, which are located in /opt/plesk/php/8.x(7.x)/... and used for Plesk hosted websites.

What exactly is bothering you?

Hi Igor. thanks for your reply. the 1st one is a bit confusing in terms of its usage.
The 2nd I completely understand native functionality from Plesk.
