• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Issue PHP cannot connect to MSSQL after update #53

Cruachan

New Pleskian
I have two servers which can no longer connect to MSSQL after this upgrade. PHP versions 7.1.x, 7.2.x and 7.3.x are all affected. 7.0.x and earlier can still connect fine.

Simple connection script

$serverName = "myserver";
$uid = "myuid";
$pwd = "mypassw";
$databaseName = "mydb";

$connectionInfo = array( "UID"=>$uid,
"PWD"=>$pwd,
"Database"=>$databaseName);

$conn = sqlsrv_connect($servername, $connectionInfo);
if( $conn ) {
echo "Connection established.<br />";
}else{
echo "Connection could not be established.<br />";
die( print_r(sqlsrv_errors(), true));
}

Results is

Connection could not be established.
Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => IM004 [SQLSTATE] => IM004 [1] => 0
Code:
 => 0 [2] => [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed [message] => [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed ) )

I have fallen back to PHP 7.0 in the meantime, where the above script work fine. It was working fine until Plesk patch #53 was applied yesterday.

Can you please specify which OS exactly you have? and which version of MSSQL you are connecting to?
Indeed there were changes in sqlsrv extension in scope of this update.

I'm also facing same issue. I have Windows Server 2012 R2 and trying to connect to MSSQL Server 2012.
