Please Help: apache2 failed to start

I get the following code and apache can't be started.
I have Plesk 8.0.

/usr/local/psa/admin/plib/common_func.php3:170
psaerror(string 'Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by websrvmng: websrvmng: Service apache2 failed to start')

Is the log file larger than 2GB, delete/move it and try to restart apache manually. Were there any updates or config changes made recently?

What brought this on? What version of Apache and what OS are you running? Give us some more details and background on whats going on.

ulimit

I had same problem.
I set up ulimit -n 8000 and it works okay
