  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi
In my Hostgator control panel, when I view the website traffic, under the heading HTTP status codes there are quite a few 404 document not found. I've read that means that some pages of the site are not accesible to search engines etc. I have 4 pages on my site. I just noticed in the site map on left side of the edit page that I've got home page numbered page 1 in page file name. 2nd page is labeled page 2, but pages 3 and 4 say pages 4 and 5 in the page file name boxes. Do they need to be numbered consectutively and could that be causing the error codes? Thanks, Jim

Jim, please specify which webstat are you trying to check in Hostgator panel or in Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder panel itself? If it is Sitebuilder panel you are probably trying to check Statistics module. Please specify or give some screen shot for clarification.

Thanks for the reply Dmitry
I'm not sure how to send a screen shot. When I go to Hostgator control panel there is a panel on the left called website traffic. When I click view all traffic, then click view all traffic for my site it brings up a statistics page for my site. It includes monthly history, hosts, visits duration, etc. On the very bottom of the page there is a box called HTTP status codes. It shows two: 404- document not found (58 hits). And 301-moved permanently redirect(28 hits). I'm concerned because underneath it explains that these are hits that cannot view the website and aren't listed in visits on the statistics page. Thanks, Jim

It is hard to say exactly why you have 58 for document not found. Probably this is some search engine requests which try to find specific file (as robots.txt - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_exclusion_standard) or something else. It is required to check domain logs directly on the server where it is running. This is actually not related to Parallels Sitebuilder itself as it is used only for building sites but not serving it. I can suggest you to contact with Hostgator so they could check logs for you.

Thanks Dimitry
Its probably search engine spyders as you said. I contacted Hostgator and they said the setup of the website looks fine. Thanks again, Jim
