Please wait...loading

Hi everyone,
every time I make some modifications to the a domain setup such as changing the PHP or MYSQL
version the page hangs in the message loading please wait..and it take all day...
the information does get saved but the message remain on the screen with the 2 arrows spining
a make believe that something is till loading.
does anyone have any ideas please..?
