  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10.4.4 Set hosting type in service plan

Hi,

Is there a way to set the hosting type in a service plan in Plesk 10.4.4
I want to set it to "Forwarding" and then "Frame Forwarding".

As "admin" I can change it afterwards when I change the domain setting.
But my customers can't.

Thanks,
Harry

We're using Plesk 10.4 and can't find the domain forwarding options anywhere! We've just migrated from 8.2 on a VPS to 10.4 on a dedicated server and this is one of the (many) options which has changed between versions... can anyone walk me through how to set domain forwarding up please? All domains are under our own subscriptions, we have no clients' domains.

It's hidden

This took me a while too.

You Need to go into one of your subscriptions in the control panel --> click Website & domains --> add new domain at the bottom, Then you can set up a forwarder in the same manner as 8.*

Hope that helps

I know that it's possible that way.
The customer must exist for this method to work. And he already must have a domain.

I want to add a new customer and create a subscription for that client with a service plan that I have named "Redirect".
"Redirect" should be a service plan with a type of hosting set to forwarding. This is just not possible.

I realy think that the developers at Parallels missed this one.

The only way to get it done is changing it afterwards.

Thank you for the pointers... with your help I managed to change the existing domain to a forwarder by clicking the domain name and then changing the Hosting type in the next screen - not easy to find, as you say!
