Plesk 11.5.30, Windows, Tomcat - Finding Files...

Stuart@shapero

New Pleskian
Hello.

I am deploying a Tomcat Application on my plesk server, Windows 2008R2, Plesk 11.5.30. I goto the websites section in plesk, Java Applilcations, then install application. I select the .WAR file, and it deploys.

I can see the deployed website, by visiting http://www.thedomainname.com/applicationname

Question 1
Now, I need to make changes to the contents of the site, by editing the .JSP files, however, I can't find them. ( I have admin access to the server, so can see the entire C Drive. ).

Can you advise me where I can find the original files?

Question 2
How do i make the URL http://www.thedomainname.com go straight to the application name? so when someone visits the site, it goes directly to the application?

Many Thanks

Stuart

Hello.
Thanks for your post back.

In C:\inetpub\vhost\domainname\httpdocs there is no conf
I have searched the server hard drive for a specific file, like a page name or image name, and it can't find it.
The tomcat application seams not to live in the above path, and lives in the actual program files directory under the plesk (x86 ) programs folder, however, it is just the .war file.

I need to understand how plesk handles the java application, what it does with the .war file and how it displays that application when it is summoned on the internet.

From what I have been told, the .war file, upon installing it, must decompress it self, however, the evidence that is shown suggests that it is not,, hence my confusion.

Thank you for the advice for the app directory, as I will set that now.

Thank you. any further assistance would be appreciated.

stuart.
