PLESK 11.5 ASP pages ERROR

mirceacr

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I have an issue: my ASP pages of the website do not work !
I moved from one server to another, by backup and restore, I also tried to restore manually, there is no problem during the transfer, it is successful. The only problem is ASP pages do not display.

Both servers, source and destination are: Windows 2008 R2 + IIS7.5 + Plesk 11.5 , Plesk components are same on both, ASP and ASP.NET are also enabled ....etc

http://boojabooja.com.109-228-17-90.intellihost.eu this is the new destination server

http://boojabooja.com.5-10-66-242.intellihost.eu/ this is an intermediate server

http://boojabooja.com this is the old server

Please advise !

Hi Mircea,

You get this exact error is Classic ASP isn't specifically enabled for that subscription under its hosting options so I'd double check there.

Hey Mircea,

I'd double check that ASP (not ASP.NET) is actually installed under server roles then and - if so - reinstall it and reboot.

Hey Mircea,

I notice that the error message has now changed from the mime error to :

An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error.

The link is a bunch of resources about getting classic asp running on IIS7 and IIS8 so I still think this is the root of the problem: http://www.iis.net/learn/application-frameworks/running-classic-asp-applications-on-iis-7-and-iis-8

Interestingly you can get this particular error when Classic ASP IS working but your page is kicking up an error and IIS isn't configured to show the Classic ASP errors (common): see http://www.iis.net/learn/applicatio...ges-no-longer-shown-in-web-browser-by-default.

I had this problem myself on my Server 2008 R2 box when I first installed Plesk and I wrote the following article: http://spark-storm.com/blog/classic-asp-custom-errors-iis7iis7-5/

Hope this helps

Bob

I changed the display errors in asp, so it looks there is a problem with user connection to mssql or MSSQL server

I go checking this
